Installation of SALTS addon is very easy via repository like Superrepo. However, you are also install a lot of unwanted music, video and program addons at the same time. The installed addons are not the latest most of the time. You will have to wait for auto update triggered by Kodi.
If you like to have the latest version on SALTS on first installation, as well as keep your files to minimum, then you should install addons direct from it parent repository. Here is how can you do it on SALTS.
My example is based on SALTS 2.0.53. The current version is SALTS 2.0.105 as of Oct 20 2016.
You can get the source code of SALTS direct from Github. You can check out tknorris-beta-repo directory.
Click this link to direct download the latest tknorris-beta-repo. For now, to get latest version of SALTS, just click the same link will do.
A zip file will be downloaded to your PC. Transfer or copy the file to you USB drive.
Insert USB drive into your TV box.
1. Select "SYSTEM"
2. Select "Settings".
Click "Install from zip file".
Select "repository.tknorris.beta-x.x.x.zip" from your USB drive.
You will see the repository installed in just one or two seconds.
Now go to "Install from repository".
Select "tknorris Beta Testing Repository".
Select "Video add-ons" from this repository.
Yes. Now you see "Stream All The Sources" video add-on. Click to install it. It is version 2.0.53 as of the writing of this article.
You will see that SALTS video addon is installed in split seconds.
Go to Kodi main menu and select "Videos".
Yes. Latest and greatest SALTS is ready and enjoy your unlimited movies and TV shows.
